Art Boca Raton is excited to announce our 2017 dealer committee. We chose dealer committee members with a careful and thorough selection process. Our choices are diverse artistic voices, with broad ranges of knowledge in the industry. The Art Boca Raton dealer committee will work with fair organizers on branding and promotion to make the 2017 fair another huge success. The dealer committee shapes the selection of exhibitors, with a focus on 20th to 21st century contemporary and modern art, which will remain vital for collectors in the future.

Mark Borghi Mark Borghi entered the art world as a child wandering through his father’s galleries. Since those early days, he developed a deep appreciation for post-war abstract and contemporary art, as seen in his 3 galleries. This summer Mark Borghi Fine Art exhibits works by Stanley Casselman and Gregory Johnston at their Bridgehampton, NY gallery. Mark’s unmatched experience in the collector’s market will be a prime asset for the 2017 Art Boca Raton dealer committee and we could not be happier to have him involved.
Gary SantoroGary Santoro is a mainstay in the art community with 2 decades of experience in the South Florida market. He is the owner of Vertu Fine Art (a repeat exhibitor with Art Boca Raton), which specializes in pop, abstract expressionism, and optical art. He lists the work of Frank Stella, Andy Warhol, Robert Motherwell, and Robert Rauschenberg as key artists in his development as an art collector. Gary was a founding partner of Verve in Fort Lauderdale before opening Vertu Fine Art in 2011. His knowledge of Contemporary Art will lend itself perfectly to being a member of the 2017 Art Boca Raton dealer committee.

Deborah SponderDeborah Sponder began her art world career in California, where she spent 15 years as a private dealer. In 2003, she joined her mother Elaine as director of their iconic Elaine Baker Gallery space. Deborah was instrumental in fostering the gallery’s growing number of important artists, adding Jun Kaneko, Ernest Trova and Charles Arnoldi during the first few years. She also developed successful ongoing projects with The Boca Raton Resort and multiple Ritz-Carlton properties. Her intelligence and innovation were rewarded in 2011 with the transition to Baker Sponder Gallery when Deborah became partner.

Gary LichtensteinGary Lichtenstein is a true pioneer in the art industry and has been for the past 40 years. Lichtenstein’s work elevates abstract expressionism through powerful mastery of color, reflection, and absorption. He has worked with countless artists, including Richard Meier, Robert Indiana, Bob Gruen, Michael DeFeo, Joanne Greenbaum, and Gerard Hemsworth. Lichtenstein recently moved his studio to Gary Lichtenstein Editions at Mana in Jersey City, NJ. We are delighted to have him and his unique artistic vision on the 2017 Art Boca Raton dealer committee.
