Lake Worth ceramics artist Ray Gross bubble-wrapped two of his paint brushes a few hours before the end of the inaugural four-day Art Boca Raton. Sales were brisk, he said.

In fact, 14,000 people attended the international art exhibit and sale March 18 to 21, according to David Lester, co-founder and organizer with his wife Lee Ann Lester.

“This exceeded everybody’s expectations. The diversity drew a lot of collectors. We had modern masters to graffiti artists,” she said, adding the event was so successful, they already have the dates March 15 to 19 for next year and will start meetings soon.
